Health Care Aide (HCA), Sechelt, BC

About the role

Correct Staffing is looking for a Health Care Aide for a full-time contract placement at a care centre in Sechelt, on the Sunshine Coast of BC. You will help residents with their daily care across days, evenings, nights and weekends, at $32 per hour. This is independent contractor work through Correct Staffing.

What you will do

• Help residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Assist with meals, hydration and feeding where needed
• Support safe mobility, transfers and lifts using proper equipment
• Observe residents and report changes to the nurse on shift
• Document the care you provide
• Offer companionship and respect each resident's dignity and routines
• Keep resident rooms and shared areas safe and tidy

What you need

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Health Care Aide in long-term care (required)
• Active registration with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry (required)
• Health Care Aide certificate
• Current CPR/BLS certificate
• Criminal record check (vulnerable sector)
• WHMIS and FoodSafe certificates
• Up-to-date immunization record and TB test
• Availability for rotating shifts, including weekends
